Strange thought coming from an actor, who generally leans heavily on dialogue, but Dustin Dugas Schuetter’s appeal is bolder, more philosophical. His natural charismatic style, undaunted approach and gentle southern charm set him apart.

Schuetter has recently switched his focus to directing and writing, already having churned out two feature films, Dedd Brothers and Samuel Bleak, both produced by his company, Aria Relic Cinema, previously Dark Horse Pictures. Schuetter works from the heart. It guides him, defines him and gives him a strong moral base from which to work.

“"It has always been important to me to do what I believe in,”" Schuetter says. “"You have to bend to certain aspects of the industry, but I really want to do things that I am proud of with people that I love."”

“Nothing happens unless first we dream."

Surely a testament to how Dugas lives her life. This is evident in her approach to the path she has chosen for herself.

After receiving her Masters degree in Speech and Theatre, she ventured out into the film industry in Los Angeles, CA where she worked in the areas of Foley and sound editing, including Some Kind of Hero with Richard Pryor and Francis Ford Coppola’s One From the Heart. She assisted with local casting in Fletch Lives, Margaret Bourke-White and A Gathering of Old Men.

As a costume designer, she has designed and built costumes for more than fifty productions, including feature films Dedd Brothers and Samuel Bleak. Aside from Aria Relic Cinema, she is the co-founder of South Louisiana Casting & Production Company, which produces several shows and music concerts a year, all created, co-produced and directed by Dugas.
